According to a news report in the Yakima Herald, the woman’s car struck the end of a concrete barrier that divides the opposing lanes between the intersections in that area, Washington State Patrol troopers said. Investigators are still looking into what caused the accident. Officials believe that the woman was not wearing a seatbelt and say they still do not know whether alcohol or drugs were involved.
